Walk over to your library to borrow a few books. If it's too cold or wet, check out an audio book from the website. Sit down and play board games together as a family once a week: your young children don't have to follow all the rules, and feel free to re-use the pieces and make a new game. This isn't just good for energy savings, it's great for health of your eyes and your mind as well! If that's too "extreme", try turning off Netflix after one episode per evening. Spend the next day talking about the story and making guessing on what comes next!
