Consultation has concluded
The Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres (OSCC), in partnership with the City of Oshawa, is developing an Age-Friendly Community Strategy and is calling on community members for their input.
The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) defines Age-Friendly communities as “supportive physical and social environments that enable older adults to live active, safe lives and continue to participate fully in their communities.”

Feedback received will be used to better understand and evaluate the needs and priorities of older adults in the Oshawa community, develop an Oshawa Age-Friendly strategy that will include recommendations for Oshawa and strategy partners (e.g. Region of Durham, etc.) and used to guide the application for W.H.O.’s Age-Friendly City designation.
